Accessible apartments - Brittany, France This review is written from the viewpoint of someone totally wheelchair-bound and reliant on able-bodied assistance and aids. We have stayed at these apartments twice and are planning to go again. We have a comprehensive care package at home, and the same can be provided at the apartments. The accommodation is bright, airy, spacious and clean. Any special equipment you need can be provided. It is in a lovely setting with beautiful views and a large garden (accessible with care - long gravel ramp). There are Bar-B-Q facilities available and once a week everyone on site is invited to take their food to be cooked at a communal social evening. Within easy travelling distance there are beaches and interesting towns and villages to visit. There is something for everyone. There are small shops and restaurants locally, these involve a short car ride or energetic walk up a gradient. Jacqui and Carl (the owners) are most welcoming and will sort out any problem which might arise. Happy holiday, Malcolm and June Green.

Canet-en-Roussillon - Perpignan, France I stayed at this apartment in 2005 and found the provision of disabled facilities to be outstanding. As well as shower chairs, grab rails etc., there were hoists available, an adjustable bed, even a shower stretcher should you need one. It is situated in Canet-en-Roussillon on the south-eastern coast of France. There are a selection of bars/restaurants within fifteen minutes' push of the apartment, everywhere we visited we found the people very friendly and helpful.
